Goals For The Week

Alrighty then….another week gone by so fast. And what have we achieved? In my case, not much. I had a little vent in my last post for the Insecure Writers Support Group day about the lack of motivation on my part and I got some good feedback. Sometimes, all it takes is distancing yourself from the status quo. I’ve been overdue a break for a very very long time and this Thursday I’m flying interstate (to Melbourne) for a much-needed r’n’r (sans children!). This will give me the opportunity to clear my head, writing wise, because I wont be taking my laptop with me! If I get to the stage where I must write, I do believe I’ll have access to a pen and paper somewhere….

To be honest, I’m not sure how I’ll cope without my laptop. I know that sounds insane – and I do have a smart phone – so it’s not like I wont have access to the internet but my laptop has become my security blanket in a way. My whole life is on this thing!

Anyway, my goals for this week will be at a bare minimum. No writing goals, just reading. Reading the new book I’ve picked up (Tess Gerritsens’ The Killing Place) and reading through the WIP (I don’t want to set it aside completely).

I do hope all of you with writing goals this week manage to tackle through them. Care to share what they might be? As always, I love hearing about them šŸ™‚
